About Me
This is me - it's all about me.
My name is Mark Henderson - Hendo to many. Uncle Hendo to one!
My little family includes Julie, Chief DETAILS' Officer (CDO), and Millie, the Wonder Dog (who has since passed into Doggie Heaven).
We have a daughter and a son who also have a son and a daughter each, which makes for great family symmetry.
Julie is retired recently, and I am retired a second time (I had a go at it already and was sent back to work to "do something useful with myself" by the CDO.)
I owned two small businesses on Queensland's Gold Coast, after working long-term for Education Queensland.
Julie and I spent many holidays travelling the rest of the world (pre- Millie mostly) and we are now going to travel around Australia, mostly by car and van. We also lived on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, for a year and that will be a blog post later.
We are experienced campers and hikers and have been members of the Aging Adventurers since its inception, (as we helped incept it).
We have also had camper trailer and pop top experience, but our new van is the real thing - pull up and park it.
The blog plan is just to give an avenue to see into our world a little and, hopefully, I can figure out why I am like I am - nomadic.
